We've returned from our week-long vacation! We made it there and back without a hitch - well, except for sitting in the same spot on the highway for two hours on the way back.
We spent our time divided between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite - two places we've technically been to before but were glad to visit for a second time. We visited both for the first time on our big trans-USA road trip. Lake Tahoe was beautiful, but full of bears (so said the campground host when we checked in) because there was a huge forest fire in the area. We decided not to camp there that night. We didn't know anything about Yosemite when we visited back then and were surprised to find huge parking lots and hordes of fellow tourists when we arrived - and left after about an hour.
This time around, Tahoe and Yosemite were perfect - much different than we remembered them! Plus, we had the pleasure of additional company in my dad & stepmom - and experiences like this are so much better when you share them! I'll make a few posts about all of the amazing things we did, but until then, here are a few photos from the trip - - -

Looks like a beautiful vacation! Kg
