In the spirit of embracing winter, we went on a morning walk at a nearby metropark. Only about 15 minutes from my mom's house and I'd never been there before! One minute, we were on the city streets - the next minute, we were down in a little ravine walking by an icy river.
We were going to do a hike, but the snow is up to our knees, so we did a nice walk on the plowed path through the park instead. Lots of people had the same idea as us! It's nice that we can get out in nature without getting out of town.
